28 Chris P. Jonesby Jacqueline GrandstaffThe first night I met Chris P. Jones we were going to curate his pop art show at ElSegundo restaurant. Chris was coming to my house to pick me up and I had not seen hisart before and had no idea what to expect. As I came down my steps to meet him I spiedhis wild hair and then met him face to face. I immediately loved his manner and especiallythought the fact that he was wearing swimming goggles, cut off clothing, and beat upconverse was cool. We then piled into his minivan which was loaded with his pieces. As his pieces were revealed to me one by one, I saw color bursting, bright, bold, explosive and they immediately started provoking conversation amongeverybody that was there that night.

Sting of DeathBy Dustin Schoof

A pair of clean socks can go a long way.

Just ask Montag the Magnificent.

Montag is the frontman and lead guitarist for surf rock band The Great White Caps; acting as conductor of the symphonic undersea symphony that is tantalizing audiences up and down the East Coast and now reaching fans across the country.

“That is really key when you’re living in a van mostly. It feels pretty amazing to walk in clean socks,” Montag says.

But the life aquatic isn’t always smooth sailing. “You need a whole lot of patience.”
