First of all, I would like to start with a positive perspective on my second year as President. Right now I am thinking of the terrific accolades to the Bemidji Eagles of having Bina Silverthorn stepping into office as the North Central President on September 2nd and Sherry Peters serving as this year’s state Auxiliary President. That being said, we are also the home Aerie and Auxiliary honorees including state presidents, Eagles of the year secretaries of the year and others including the most recent National Eagles Hall of Fame. The membership gives our trustees and the officers each year the power to make a difference. I believe that the biggest indication of who should be a trustee or an officer is the willingness to attend meetings as often as possible and the commitment to becoming involved in the decision making process at those meetings. To promote a positive meeting where problems can be faced, new ideas can be presented, and compromise can be made is my goal for the rest of this term. I encourage anyone to show up and be heard where it can make a difference. “Bar and coffee shop talk” seldom accomplishes anything positive. Greeting Sister's

Come one come all to our Auxiliary Meetings the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month starting at 7:00 pm. On September 9th and 10th we will be in Alexandria, MN to see our very own Sister Bina Silverthorn become North Central Regional Auxiliary President. District meeting is on September 16th at 1:00 pm in Park Rapids. This year we are Hosting the Eagle's Auxiliary Bowling Tournament on October 21st and 22nd, if you would like to bowl in this get a team together (must be auxiliary members) and then get a hold of Marilyn Hazen at 218-368-0748 or if you just want to help, she needs help at the bowling alley also, so don't be shy give her a call, please it will be a lot of fun! To those of you that are wondering how Larry Silverthorn is doing, he's doing better, healing up just fine but will take a while yet. Don't forget about the great bands we have on Friday nights not to mention the dinners. The Auxiliary will be starting our bake sale on the second Friday of the month starting in September. If you have any favorite goody you would like, let us know and we will see what we can do.
