Rush hour - The challenge resolved

It turned out that you had some minor or major remarks concerning three of the four best puzzles we published twoissues ago.

The 79-moves puzzle is due to Ignat Meldin and Yurev Alexander from Russia. It turned out to require only43 moves, because of a small misunderstanding of the rules. It was noticed by the authors themselves as well as byGeir Engdahl from Norway and the team from Thailand (the last two also submitted a complete sequence of moves)and the team from Estonia.

The 50-moves puzzle was submitted by Michal Forišek, the Deputy Leader of Slovakia. It requires 50 movesindeed.

The 43-moves one is by Geir Engdahl, the leader of Norway. As noticed by the author and by the team fromEstonia, the final move was not counted. Therefore it is now a 44-moves puzzle.

The German team are the authors of the 40-moves puzzle, which turned out to be unsolvable. We know itfrom the team from Estonia and from Ignat Meldin from Russia.

In this case the winners are as follows:

1st place: Michal Forišek with 50 moves

2nd place: Geir Engdahl with 44 moves

3rd place: Ignat Meldin and Yurev Alexander with 43 moves

The longest puzzle case we know requires 53 moves. The winner got very close to this number.Congratulations!
