Dr. William Thibault, who donated our Tommy to IAHF, spent two days at the shop covering the tail surfaces. This work gave him an opportunity for hands-on participation in Tommy’s restoration.

IAHF’s annual open house broke all previous years’ attendance (and donut) records. All were excited to see the covering beginning to go on.

Below: Everett Morse, grandnephew of Frank Morse, the founder of Morse Chain, partner in the Thom-as-Morse Aeroplane Company, enjoyed another opportunity to see the progress on Tommy’s restoration. Everett and Tommy are the same age.

Tom Kohberger, our Designated Airworthiness Representative (DAR) for the FAA, inspects some of the control surfaces. Tom’s comments included, “Excellent workmanship!”
