STUDENT SPOTLIGHT !

CAROLINE SHAFER, student of Joan Sparks, is spending her senior year of high school at the Interlochen Academy of Arts in Michigan as a scholarship student. !Here is what she says about the experience: “For one, I enjoy growing with my peers in the flute studio. Each flutist brings their strengths to the table and we are able to learn from one another. I also love that with each new day come new challenges. Never before have I been more challenged as a flutist, and I am so grateful for this opportunity to grow and learn. What I value the most about my experience here at Interlochen is learning about the interrelation of all the different arts. I have spent almost four months of my life at Interlochen now, and each day I realize more and more how important art is in our world.” !

*************************************** ! AUDREY EMATA, will be performing A.F.
