IB 課程 • The International Baccalaureate (IB)課程創辦

於1960年。它最大的優點是吸取了許多國家有名的教育制度的精華。

• 現有一百四十多個國家，二千七百多間學校開辦，它的文憑深受重視，所以獲得世界頂尖的著名大學承認。

• 學生可從下列的組別中挑選一種科目修讀：1.主要語文、2.外語、3.人文學、4.科學、5.數學、6.藝術和選修科目。學生可以從上述6組之中各選一科，其中3科須高級程度，3科是普通程度。

IB 課程

IB文憑是由三大要素組成：

•創意，行動，服務：多樣化的課外活動和參與服務計畫。

•有深度論文：這是個人作品，學生須自己探討，然後將心得寫下來。

•知識理論：進行探討，並且要有明確思考和判斷能力。

• 多元文化：學生來自約60個國家，沒有任何國籍佔優勢。

• 中型規模但有“家的感覺”提供優越的學生服務，包括ESL英文輔助，升大學諮詢及監護人制度。

•新加坡第一家國際學校,提供一對一蘋果筆記簿（MacBook）。

•11-12年級提供華文母語課程。8年級開始提供母語課程。

•入學編班英文測試把學生安排在適當程度班級以

得到最好的輔助。

•學生將得到雙倍的英語輔助。

•在小學及中學部，班上有助理老師協助隨時給於ESL學生輔助。

•高中部學生除了雙倍英文輔助之外，還有“人文科學”科目教導。

• 高中部還有每週課後輔助班及每日午餐時間給於學生額外輔助。

We chose ISS Elementary School 4 years ago because we wanted the IB curriculum in a small, caring environment. ISS has not disappointed - from the moment you enter the school you realise it is a very special place. I can honestly say ISS is the best school our three sons have attended.
