3 INITIAL START UP LOCATION & TARGET AUDIENCE

‘Kathmandu’ would be the first city of Nepal, where the proposed ISP would be set up. The reasons owing to the selection of Kathmandu as the first city for the launch of the proposed ISP are as follows:

Kathmandu being the capital of Nepal provides with the best of infrastructure and logistical facilities.

It would provide with a central command over the operations in other cities. Gives the maximum possible Marketing and Promotional opportunities. Maximum Target Audience.

As this is a well known fact that Wireless Internet service is something that is still an unknown quantity for Nepalese Internet Service Users. There have been no signs of any attempts made by the market leaders WLINK, NTC or SUBITSU to start something in this regard. With the next generation going mobile and lap tops being more of a necessity than a luxury. People need mobile/wireless internet connectivity (....people hate them wires!!!!!!). As we would be the first one to launch the services we would be the sole player in the category and would enjoy the complete market share along with the reputation of bringing something new and sensational.

Given below is the target audience we wish to cater:

Educational Institutes: These are the places which will comprise the majority chunk of our future clients. As in most of the educational institutes Lap tops are a bare necessity and Internet is fast becoming the best way to learn and connect to the outside world. We would provide Wi-Fi connectivity as a whole to the college plus we would also provide individual connections. (List of target colleges and institutes)

Corporate Offices: All the corporate closed compounds which require a secured Wi-Fi connectivity across their campuses. (List of targeted corporate offices)

Individuals and Small Enterprises: People willing to go for Wi-Fi rather than the old wired connection.

Cyber Cafe’s: A whole new breed of Wi-Fi Internet Cafe’s would come into existence. Lap Top Manufacturers/Dealers: We can get into a pact with such organisations where we can

give the Wi-Fi connectivity free with the lap top. But this would come into picture after the successful run of the product.
