To promote the use of approved International and National standards in NDE

and related area by Indian industry in consultation with the Bureau of Indian

Standards.

To help in preparation of new Indian standards and updation of old standards

in NDE

To co-ordinate with universities, academic institutions and Government bodies

for initiating new projects on the development of various NDE techniques

NDE- 2014

National Seminar on NDE is one of the most important engineering event in India. The conference provides an effective platform

for NDE professionals from all over the world to meet and exchange ideas and information of interest to NDE community,

including specialists from industry, research institutions and academia. The seminar will attract eminent NDE experts from

various national and international industries / institutions.

Around 600 delegates are expected to participate in this seminar.

An exhibition of NDE equipments and systems is also arranged concurrently to provide an exposure to latest developments in the

field of NDE. This is the 24th seminar organized by ISNT. Subsequent to the year 2004, PUNE chapter is once again privileged to

organize this seminar. Considering the range of coverage and potential of business growth, the proposed seminar is definitly going

to establish a new bench mark.

ISNT, is a non profit making professional body of Technologists, Engineers, Scientists, Academicians and Researchers in India.

Since its inception in the year 1972, it has fully matured and established itself at the international level having an indomitable

stature and recognition. Presently ISNT has more than 6600 members spreading over 20 chapters in India. It offers invaluable

resources, information and linkages for industrial quality development and professional development to its members.

The objective of the society is to promote the awareness of NDE Science and Technology through education, research and

exchange of technical information within the country and internationally to all professionals using NDE. ISNT is a diverse and

dynamic family of professionals representing NDE technicians, scientists, engineers, researchers, manufacturers and academicians,

dedicated to product safety and reliability. The ISNT represents every industry and discipline that may benefit from NDE technology.

ISNT has 20 chapters all over the country with head quarters at Chennai.

Get Quality Quantified.

The national conference on NDE an annual spectacular event is the platform where leading professionals from India and

abroad bare their intellect and share their personnel knowledge on Non Destructive Testing and evaluation with other

practitioners of the field, the venue where the manufacturers vie with each other in showcasing their wares and the

congregation where the students are bestowed with the rare opportunity to mingle with the front runners of the

profession to be ordained (since this is a religion for Quality) in to the profession of this vibrant and galloping technique

as well as get an insight as to how to ascertain the fitness for purpose not only for components to be used but also for

the ones in service.

The 2014 conference has been awarded to Passionate Pune. This significant event is coming back to Passionate Pune after

almost a decade. Significant progress has been made in the annals of NDT since then due to the quantum jump in science &

technology front nationally and internationally. The scheduled pre conference tutorials as per the tradition will throw more light

in the specified dark spots. With such features I am positively confident NDE 2014 will pave the way for a new frame work to

confirm fitness for purpose. I cordially invite you to assume a role in this stupendous event along with Passionate Pune to usher

in a new order of the world to bring about

This years theme is Enhancing Competence Through NDE. It is not just the competence of people that we are talking about; its

the competence of an organization, and the competence of the society at large. Let us make this enhancement a continual process,

and a participative one too, where we are helping one another to improve. We must also bear in mind that learning is not just a

never ending process, but a destination in itself. We are looking forward to the individual, the industry and the country benefiting

NDE - 2014

Papers are invited, under the subtitle Broad areas and topics, but are also open to other subjects of interest, commensurate

to the theme of the conference. Abstracts not more than 250 words should be submitted in a specific format to the Chairman,

Technical Committee through website only. Abstracts should clearly bring out the purpose, important results and the outcome of the

study. The abstract should contain title of the paper, keywords, the authors name(s) and their affiliation including the mailing

address, fax numbers and the email of the corresponding author. It is important to note that the papers are accepted based on

the understanding that the author or one of the authors will attend the conference. Guidelines for submission of manuscript for

review and the preparation of final paper will be communicated upon the acceptance of the abstract.nDE
