During the past years

Goods transportation in Egypt

Transportation studies indicate that the total quantities of goods traded annually in the

Arab Republic of Egypt in a continuous increasing, from 82.6 million tons in 1979 to

about 541.9 million tons in the year 2006.

The following table shows the total quantities of goods traded annually, according to

these studies

The evolution of the quantities of goods traded in Egypt can be represented as

follows:

The previous figure illustrates a continuing increase in the total quantities of goods traded annually in Egypt and this relationship can be represented by adding increasing trend line in order to develop a general perception of the outlook for the quantities of goods traded annually in the coming years
