of Africa along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea

• Sahara: Large desert that covers most of northern Africa.

• Sahel (Shore): A dry region bordering the southern portion of the Sahara.

• Savanna: Grasslands south of the Sahel

• Forest: South of Savanna, mainly rainforests
