Downloading ISF Shipment Data from Kewill Web Portal to CargoPoint

Overview Kewill recognizes the efficiency advantage that users of CargoPoint will gain from having access to certain information entered through the Kewill ISF web portal while completing brokerage data entry for these ISF transactions. In order to provide the information for use in CargoPoint, we are providing the capability for performing downloads from Kewill ISF.

This document is intended to provide you with instruction regarding the setup and use of the downloading capability.

A prerequisite for performing these setup procedures is to have loaded the Patch Level of Q1 2010 or later. This is available from the CargoPoint Updates Web Site.

Interface Setup Instructions

Setup Overview

Your ISF Portal Username and Password information will be needed for the proper setup of the Kewill ISF Download capabilities into your CargoPoint environment.

Procedure To set up the Download capability in CargoPoint, follow the steps below:

1. From the Transaction menu, choose Kewill ISF Interface Setup

2. Click on the Tab 3, ISF Web Portal Integration

3. Double-check the data on the Setup form and save any changes.

CHB Customs Clearance:

Step Action Results

1. From the Transaction menu, select Kewill ISF Interface Setup .

When you select Kewill ISF Interface Setup , a form with three (3) tabs will display. These setup tabs control separate aspects of the interface with Kewill ISF. The opening tab is the ISF Parts/Parties Web Portal Upload Setup .

2. For the download setup, click on Tab 3. ISF Web Portal Integration Setup from the tab bar along the top of the form.

This ISF Web Portal Integration Setup tab will display with the content needed for you to define what data should be downloaded from the Kewill ISF web portal.

The following checkboxes allow you to choose whether to download all data or to select only certain data to download.

Check boxes:

• All Data

• ISF Header Info

• ISF Parties

• B/L’s

• Containers

• Invs/Lines/HTS

If you click the All Data checkbox, the other checkboxes become inactive.

Enter the download URI. Staging:

http://isf.stage.kewill.net:8082/kc/request

Production:

http://isf.kewill.net:8082/kc/request

Username Enter correct Username for the Kewill ISF account.

CargoPoint needs this information to access the data in Kewill ISF

Same as your Kewill ISF Username.

Password Enter the correct Password for the Kewill ISF account.

CargoPoint needs this information to access the data in Kewill ISF

Same as your Kewill ISF Password.

Save Click the Save button to save the data entered or modified.

Close Click the Close button to close the Setup page.

3. When you are done,

click the Save button,

then the Close button.

You will be returned to the opening page of the CargoPoint CHB application.

Download Process

Download Overview Downloading the ISF Shipment data selected in the Kewill ISF Interface Setup takes place after you enter the following data in the Header of a new shipment file:

• In the ET field, enter the Entry Type.

• In the MOT field, enter the transportation mode.

• In the ISF field, select W-Web Portal (Kewill)

• If you know the ISF Transaction number, enter it in the ISF Trans.# field.

Procedure To begin the download process, go to CargoPoint Customs Clearance and create a new file.

1. Enter the correct entry type code in the ET field.

This is the entry type for the shipment.

2. In the MOT field, enter the mode of transportation.

This is the transportation mode of the shipment.

3. In the ISF field, select from the drop-down list W-Web Portal (Kewill)

When you select the W-Web Portal (Kewill) option, the ISF Trans.# field will be activated.

4. If you have the CBP transaction number, enter it in the ISF Trans. # field. If not, skip this step.

If the transaction status has come back from CBP, they will have provided you with an ISF Transaction number.

Note : The combination of Valid ET, Valid MOT, and W-Web Portal selected in the ISF field will turn the ISF Tran # field into a blue lookup field so that you can press the F4 key.

5. When you are ready to begin the ISF download process, press the F4 key.

When you press the F4 key, the ISF Data Integration popup will display.

ISF Data Integration pop-up:

ISF Data Integration In order to download the correct data from Kewill ISF, the CargoPoint CHB application must find the ISF transaction data. It searches for the data based on the ISF transaction number (from CBP) or the internal Kewill ISF number. When it finds the correct file it downloads all data (or specific data, depending on your ISF Web Portal Integration setup) to CargoPoint.

6. On the ISF Data Integration pop-up, verify the information displayed. If you haven’t entered an ISF Transaction number, you may enter the ISF number on this form.

Either the ISF Transaction number or the ISF number (an internal Kewill ISF identifier on the Web Portal) will be used to find the ISF information in the Kewill ISF application.

7. Click on the Get ISF Data button. When you click this button, the application will search for the ISF transaction data.

8. When the download process is done, you will get the following message:

9. Click the OK button to acknowledge the message.

The message will disappear and you will be returned to the CargoPoint Customs Clearance page. The data you have selected will be display in the appropriate fields on the page.

10. A second message will display asking if you would like the Broker Reference number and the Entry number for this shipment to upload back to the Kewill ISF web application.

11. Click on the Yes button to indicate you would like the Broker Reference number and the Entry number for the shipment to update to the Kewill ISF file.

If you do not want to update this information, skip this step.

When it is done, you will get the following message:

12. Click on the OK button to acknowledge the success of the broker reference upload.

When you click on OK, the pop-up will disappear and the CargoPoint Customs Clearance page will redisplay with all the downloaded data entered in the appropriate fields.

13. Continue as usual to enter missing data and complete the shipment file.

Downloading Multiple ISF’s into a single Entry:

Overview You may download multiple ISF’s into a single Entry file should that be necessary. To accomplish this you will use the Lookup feature on the CHB BL screen.

Procedure To begin the process, go to CargoPoint Customs Clearance and create a new entry file.

15. Click on the B/L’s button in the center of the page to open the Bill(s) of Lading pop-up page.

The Bill(s) of Lading page displays.

16. The first Bill of Lading displayed was downloaded when the ISF data was downloaded.

To download a second ISF, go to the ISF/CBP Trans.# field and press the F4 key.

The ISF/CBP Trans.# field is a blue look-up field. When you press F4, the ISF Data Integration pop-up displays.

17. Enter either the ISF number in the ISF No. field or the CBP Transaction number in the ISF CBP Trans. No. field.

• ISF Parties

• BL’s

18. Click on the Get ISF Data button. When you click this button, the application will search for the ISF transaction B/L data.

The message will disappear and you will be returned to the Bill(s) of Lading page. The data you have selected will be display in the appropriate fields on the page.






When you click on OK, the pop-up will disappear. The Bill(s) of Lading page will display with the downloaded data.

24. Double-click on the Bill of Lading line to double-check that all the data necessary is entered.

When you double-click on the line, the Edit Record pop-up will display with the detail for the Bill of Lading.

25. Complete any missing field data.

26. When you are done, click the Save

button and the Close button:

When you click to Close the Edit Record pop-up, you will be returned to the Bill(s) of Lading page.

27. Continue with the data entry of the rest of the file information.

28. Repeat these steps, as needed, for all additional ISF’s to be downloaded.
