TO: All Service & Part Departments. This information is to inform both service and parts departments that the Anglemaster-2 is available for purchase. The Anglemaster provides a high level of accuracy and ease of use in measuring angles and slopes. This tool was designed initially to measure driveshaft angles to avoid vibration problems associated with incorrect driveshaft and universal joint working angles. However due to its accuracy, it can be used wherever there is a need for precise measurement of angles or slopes.

Three convenient adapters are available for the Anglemaster-2. These adapters permit direct access to the surface being measured, eliminating the need to disassemble the driveshaft assembly. These adapters can be used on both 10 series & SPL series drivelines.

All three adapters shown below are available as a kit. Part Number: SPI-CPKIT500 Light and Medium Universal Joint (Quick Disconnect) Adapter. Commonly used for pickup trucks, sport utility vehicles (SUVs), vans, and limousines.

Heavy-Duty Half-Round Yoke (Quick Disconnect) Adapter: Commonly used for heavy trucks.

Heavy-Duty Full Round End Yoke Adapter: Used to measure operating angles for 1610 series driveshaft’s and above.

Anglemaster-2 Operating Functions: 1. On/Off: The instrument is powered by a single push of the on/off button. Power is removed by a second push of the button. Auto shut-off occurs in five minutes. 2. Hold: The displayed reading on the LCD is retained by a single push; a second push releases the reading. "Hold" indicator flashes in this mode. 3. Alt Zero: Alternate Zero allows you to zero the digital readout anywhere within its range from a quick and accurate measurement of deviations from a reference surface. "Alt Zero" indicator flashes in this mode. 4. Deg Indicator: Angular measurement is displayed in degrees. 5. Slope Direction Indicator (Arrows): The down arrow indicates a slope in clockwise direction from zero (negative). The up arrow indicates a slope in Counterclockwise direction from zero (positive). 6. Liquid Crystal Display (LCD): The LCD displays the digital readout. "LO" is displayed and flashes on the LCD when the battery voltage drops below 7 volts. The battery should be replaced when this condition exists. Low battery voltage may affect accuracy.
