Candidates must be at least 17 (seventeen) years of age as on 31.12.2016. There
is no upper age limit. Candidates must pass Higher Secondary (10+2)
Examination from a recognized Council/ Board in regular class mode with:
a) Individual pass marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as
compulsory subjects and b) Minimum of 45% marks in the above subjects
taken together (40% for SC/ST/ PWD/OBC-A/OBC-B candidates) as well as
pass in English with a minimum of 30% marks (for all categories of
candidates) in the said qualifying examination. Candidates who are
appearing in the above examination in 2017 may also apply.
There will be 2 nos. Sub Mock test & 1 no. Mock Test to be conducted as per
schedule mentioned in this brochure.
Questions will be based as per syllabus of WBJEE-2017. In every subject, all
questions will be Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) type, with four options
against each of the questions. Questions will be of three categories as
mentioned in this brochure. The categories are marked for different
numbers against each question.
Questions are to be answered on specially designed (machine readable)
answer sheets (OMR Answer Sheet). Answers are to be marked using only
blue/black ball point pen on the OMR answer sheet.
Alipurduar, Jalpaiguri, Coochbehar, Siliguri, Balurghat, Raiganj, Malda,
Berhampur, Tamluk, Kharagpur, Bankura, Bolpur, Bardhaman, Durgapur,

Category-1 - Only one option is correct. Each carries 1 (one) mark. Incorrect
option will cost - ¼ (negative mark).
Category-2 - Only one option is correct. Each carries 2 (two) marks.
Incorrect option will cost -½ (negative mark).
Category-3 - One or more option is correct. Marking all correct option will
get 2 (two) marks. Incorrect option will cost 0 (zero) marks.
On the basis of performance in the Sub Mock Test & Mock Test, the institute
will offer a rank position to the candidate (on assumption) which may be
closer to the rank obtained in the actual examination of WBJEE-2017.
The result of the candidate, as performed in the two Sub Mock Test & one
Mock Test, will be mailed to the candidate’s e-mail account after 15 days of
examination.
Model answers will be provided to the candidates. If any doubt arises, the
candidates may contact us and answer indetails will be provided to them
by post.
Rs. 2000/- + Rs. 300/- (S.Tax @ 15%) i.e. Rs.2300/- to be paid at the time of
sending the admission form for registration as mentioned in Sl.14.
