IREM Dallas Industry Partner Program

IREM® is an international force of 20,000 individuals united to advance the profession of real estate management. Through training,professional development, and collaboration, IREM® supports our members and others in the industry through every stage of their career.

An affiliate of the National Association of REALTORS, IREM is the home for all industry professionals connected to real estate management – and the only organization serving both the multi-family and commercial sectors.

IREM offers a variety of membership types for professionals of every experience level, from on-site managers to high-level executives. Our credentials, earned by meeting high standards of education, experience, and ethical business practices, include

IREM Organization Background

There are several key points about IREM Dallas, founded in 1945, that set us apart from other Chapters, for which we are pleasedand proud to note:

§ Our number of members consistently ranks us as one of IREM’s top five largest chapters.

§ Many credentialing classes to obtain designation/accreditations are offered in Dallas, and additional educational offerings are made available to membership throughout the year.

§ Scholarships are available for R.E. professionals through IREM HQ. In Dallas we are proud to have rolled out the College Case Competition.

§ Our extensive College outreach program is dedicated to introduce students to the Property Management Industry which provides employment opportunities and networking with potential employers.

§ IREM’s Newsletter promotes the Chapter and our Industry Partners.

§ IREM Dallas has one of the most successful Golf tournaments offered in the industry which provides opportunities to sponsor and a full day of networking.

Industry Partners may not use the IREM logo but may use the approved Industry Partners logo below.

Sponsorships

Industry Partners have first right of refusal to sponsor events and are notified and given opportunity to commit when the new events are posted in mid November of each year.

It is preferred that Industry Partners participate in committee activities, attend at least three events and contribute financially through sponsorships and prizes. Our Executive Council believes these opportunities gain the most exposure for your company. Participation is monitored in order to track Industry Partner of the year award.

Termination Clause

The Executive Council reserves the right to terminate an Industry Partner at any time.

Terminated Industry Partners will be reimbursed for the remaining months from the time they join, on a prorated basis. The company must remove the Industry Partner logo from all of their correspondence and business material immediately.

Industry Partners are expected to maintain Ethical Business Practices. A Participating Industry Partner can be terminated fromthe Program for suspicion of unethical behavior or unethical business practices.

§ There is a maximum of 60 Industry Partners in the program. This allows the Partners to maximize benefits of networking by maintaining an appropriate ratio of Partners to Members. The Annual Participation fee for the Industry Partner must be paid in full on or before renewal date to ensure that places are not held by those who do not plan to renew.

§ The program is limited to 4 companies per service category.

§ The Partners Waiting List program was created for those who would like to join the Program but are unable because either the program is full at the time of application, or the category type is full. If a position in a specific category becomes available, it would be offered to the company first in line that fits that category.

§ There is a one-time fee of $250 to be placed on the Partners Waiting List . Application Process: You can call the IREM office at 214-368-2181 for more information.

How to Become an Industry Partner

§ Company Posting on Website with active link.

§ Industry Partner webpage with links to business contacts.

§ Dedicated article/advertisement in IREM Blast Newsletter (once annually).

§ May submit an informational article with name and Byline.

§ When Partners sponsor events, company logo will be displayed in all IREM Dallas social media and at the sponsored event.

§ IREM Dallas maintains a brochure for placement at all IREM events/seminars/courses. This brochure is updated as change occurs.

§ Two spots (more depending on the event) at each Chapter event at member cost for those events that are not specifically identified as being for Real Estate Members only (certain educational offerings with limited space).

§ Opportunity to serve on Chapter Committees (see next page).

Program Benefits at a Glance

IREM Dallas Industry Partners SERVICE ON COMMITTEES

• Industry Partners are invited to serve on all committees without limitations. Industry Partners in accordance with the Institute’s Bylaws shall not serve as a Vice President, Chair, or Co-Chair.

• Terms may be limited to one year serving on a specific committee, unless there is not another Partner interested in participating on the committee. If interest is limited, the same Partner(s) may participate on the same committee another year. If a Partner Committee Member attends fewer than half of planned Committee meetings or does not actively participate on the Committee (as documented by the Chair of each Committee) the term may be less than one year. Should a Partner Committee Member leave a Committee for any reason, that position can be filled by another Partner. The new Partner Committee Member may serve out the remainder of that year’s term and will be eligible for consideration again the following year as if they had not served.

• Partners will be sent volunteer notification by December 1 each year to solicit service on committees.
