�  During 2014, Enterprise Ireland (EI) worked with 102 new high potential start up (HPSU) companies and 81 early stage businesses through the Competitive Start Funds to help them to achieve international potential.

�  Also in 2014, EI funded 12 New Frontiers programmes, Ireland’s national entrepreneur development programme.

�  16 spin-out companies from Higher Education Institutes in 2014 to become HPSUs – 11 HPSU investments and 5 CSF investments.

�  According to World Bank figures, Ireland is ranked fourth in the world for the availability of skilled labour and openness to new ideas; sixth for labour productivity; seventh for the availability of financial skills; and seventh for the flexibility and adaptability of people
