Welcome to Iran Sport Tourism Services (ISTS) OUR VISION OUR MISSION TARGETS In 2002, Iran Sport tours services started its operation by organizing the Iran Universities basketball match in Tehran. For the first five years of activity, ISTS focused on increasing Iran sport events through bidding on and hosting regional; provincial; national and interna- tional sport events. Holding the friendly match between Iran and German soccer national team on 2004 was not an accident. We had been chosen by the German National Football Federation as their sole local agent to hold the event not only for a team, but for all the media, fans and sponsors groups from Germany. Our action Plan for the five first years of activity was focused eight national events and development and facilitation for four provincial sport events. Our partnership with the Iran Tourism Organization, the office of Sport tour- ism was strengthened through partnership the areas of best practices and event funding. Iran Sport Tours services recognizes the significance and value of sporting events, and is committed to enhancing sport tours in Iran as a sports event destination through its Sport Tourism initiative. We target high-profile national and international sporting events that show- case our country as a sport friendly, sport embracing and premier tourist des- tination. To increase the number, scope and impact of Sports Tourism events held in the country. To raise Iran Tourism profile through sports tourism. To identify country sport tourism desired events. To Maintain and enhance current sports tourism events - to showcase our com- petence and attract more visitors. Increase media coverage for Iran Sport Tours. Increase strength and capability of local sport organizations and businesses. Increase in trained volunteers. Our strategy to achieve the targets is; Service sport tourism events while developing new and enhancing existing rela- tionships with targeted Local Organizing Committees, Local Sport Organizations, Provincial Sport Organizations, National Sport Organizations, Multi-Sport Organizations and International Sport federations. Increase and build upon the existing local support for sport tourism. Asses event hosting opportunities and develop post event analysis to assist with targeting future opportunities for Iran Sport Tourism industry.
