One day Training Programme on DISHA

Organised by :IQAC

The Examination Branch, Mahatma Gandhi University in collaboration with the

DISHA Project, COIGN (conducting Registrations, Assessments, Job-Related training and

placement drives to all the Girl students to the college under the jurisdiction of Mahatma

Gandhi University), is conducting an Assessment Test to all the Girl Students on 22nd Dec, 2018

at respective centers region wise in this regard organized one day work shop on DISHA

Programme to the Faculty members in association with IQAC.

IQAC has organsied one day workshop on Preparedness for NAAC

All the faculty members have attended the one day work shop on Preparation for

NAAC.Dr.Komala and Dr.Nagalaxmi are the speaker from St.Pious Degree College –Hyderabad

which is a mentor instiute for NAAC going colleges under Mentor-Mentee Programme

constituted by Commisionerate Collegiate Education(CCE).

The speakers gave a detailed veiw on Criteria wise preparation for the NAAC.

experiences in preparing for NAAC and gave his valuable ideas on criteria wise for preparing

for the NAAC.

Programme:ONE DAY WORKSHOP: DIGITAL EMPLOYMENT EXCHANGE OF TELANGANA (DEET)

An awareness programme was initiated to download the DEET mobile app for placements

from the Telangana Government. Faculty members spoke about the importance of registering

into the DEET portal for job opportunities.

Work Shop on Innovations was Organized by IQAC in associatio with Economics deppartment

on 5th February .The Speaker Dr.Chintakindi Mallesham Inventor of ASU Yantra gave his

experiences in the invention of Asu Yantra.

Brief Note on his Invention of Asu Yantra:

As a young boy,Mallesham born in Alair village and a school dropout used to watch at his

mothers daily work on winding meters of silk yarn on to a large frame -this is aprocess for

making a beautiful Pochampally sari.But this involes a lot of labour work and painful

process.which made his mothers health worse.so he started thinking to help his mother and

find an alternative to this laborious mechanism led to the invention of ASU yantra after various

hurdles.

Received Padmashri award in the year 2017.

One Day Workshop for School Teachers &Faculty of College on Inter-generational Bonding

Organized by :IQAC

Relationships between aging parents, adult children and grandchildren are known

as intergenerational relationships. All the participants are divided into four groups A, B, C, D.

and given a problem and have to come up with solution to the problem. And from each group

one has to present, and the same is disused with all the group members in general.The

questionare is related to the inter-generational bonds.

The non-teaching staff of the college were trained on MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and search

engines, e-office review of CA IMS. This programme was initiated by the IQAC to provide hands

on training for the smooth functioning of the college. The principal inaugurated the training

programme. K. Haritha, assistant professor of Physics, trained the staff.

Organized by :IQAC

Intellectual Property Rights are the legal rights given to persons over the creations of their

minds

Speaker mainly emphasized on IP protection by law, like copyright, patient, trade mark, trade

secrets which enables the person, group and the institution gets the name, recognition and

other financial benefits. The entire faculty have attended this programme and raised their

doubts regarding the legal issues on IP, this ended with few examples by the speaker.

Enhancing the knowledge and skill of persons through several classroom coaching and

programs, and trainings .Speaker mainly emphasized on live examples how to become

entrepreneurs by giving examples of Alibaba group, OYO, Uber, Zomato etc. The students

must learn the skills required for becoming the entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs can in turn

provide employment to a number of people. Enterprunship can lead to the growth of Indian

economy
