Move and Delete Apps You can move and icon around on

your iPad by holding your finger on any icon for a few seconds. The icons will then begin to shake. At this point you can drag it to where you want, including new pages. Hitting the cross in the corner will delete that app.

Hit the Home button to get the icons to stop shaking.

Your favorite apps can also be moved to the bottom dock using this method. The bottom dock will hold up to six icons.

Folders allow you to group similar apps together. While moving your apps around, slide one icon on top of another and release. This creates a folder with both apps inside of it. You can add more apps by returning to the main screen and dragging more apps into the folder.

If using an older iPad and operating system, double tap the home button to bring up the multitasking bar. Then hold finger on the app you want to close until the minus sign appears on the app. Press the minus sign to close. Hitting the Home button will close out the minus signs.
