IC Leadership Teams to attend.

In “Effective Instruction in the Core,” teachers will be charged with developing common lessons, common

assessments and will complete an individual reflection and analysis of lesson with on-site

support from QL consultant. Participating districts will need to meet with QL consultant at the start of the 2010-2011 school year to establish additional

dates, data collection pieces, and timeline.

district, but can be changed Districts who have spent more than 2

hours working with staff on “Understanding the Iowa Core” have been more open to change and willing to consider updating content, instruction, assessment

WHAT CAN WE DO?IDEA:

1. Staff independently read page one of the “Overview Paper,” underlining key descriptive words or phrases.

2. With a partner or trio, write those key words or phrases on a sticky note.

3. Meet with two other groups and write all common themes on index cards (Activity 1, Module 7)
