PROJECT DESCRIPTION : PROJECT NAME : LEAVE AND FEED

The device operates by the use of Gizduino IoT 644 board. Themicrocontroller serves as the central processing unit of the devicewhich accepts an incoming data fetch by the sensors such as lightsensor, proximity sensor and load sensor. Data fetched from thesensors are being sent to a web server. Web server serves as amiddle man between the IoT and human. Android app wasdeveloped to read or get the data thrown by the IoT and serves as auser interface that displays the data fetched from the web server. Itis also capable of accepting commands from the user that will besent to the web server and throw it to the IoT board. Commandsthat was received by the IoT will be used to control the outputprocess which includes controlling a servo motor that regulates theflow of pet food that is being released from the container. After thefood was released, the IoT will simultaneously play an mp3 file thatwill serve as a calling signal for the dog. After a definite time passed, the feeder will then send a feedback to the owner that determines ifthe bowl is empty or not, that will indicate that the dog ate the foodor not.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION :PROJECT NAME : PROJECT KONTADOR

Project Kontador utilizes the use of Internet to monitor the power consumption of each user withinthe house. It comes with an interactive android application to interact with the system. Thisapplication offers total control within each socket by setting modes of operations, based on the user’spreference, the socket will operate – this includes the time of operation and if either the socket willstart in an on or off state. Each user has an ID for the system to identify who uses the sockets, and towhom the consumption data will be logged.

The system is secured with access restriction which requires users to login into it to be able to accessdifferent sockets. Users can access these by providing the access key assigned to them. Through this, users in return won’t have to worry about his/her privacy.

The system also offers safety by automatically cutting off the AC line when there are no appliancesconnected into it, so kids are safe whenever they are left unattended by their parents. Also, for floodprone areas, people are safe to electric shocks caused by the water. The most significant feature of the project is that, it promotes fairness with regards to one of itspossible application, which is for the boarding houses. This project fairly divides the monthly bill, forelectricity, of the boarders. Through the system, all of the members of the house will know expectedelectric bill beforehand.
