IOSH Supervising Safely Certificate The IOSH Supervising Safely Certificate The IOSH Supervising Safely course is designed for anyone with a supervisory function in their role who needs the knowledge to allow them to comply with their health and safety responsibilities.
The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) is the Chartered body for health and safety professionals. With more than 37,000 individual members, they are the biggest professional health and safety organisation in the world.
Who should study IOSH Managing Safely Certificate? IOSH Supervising Safely is for supervisors in any sector and any organisation.
Entry Requirement There are no entry requirements for enrolling to IOSH Supervising Safely course, however its preferred to have IOSH Working Safely Certificate or any basic level courses in occupational health and safety. Course Content
The course requires 24 hours of study and covers the following areas: 1.The effective role of supervisor 4. Effective ways for improving safety
performance within the organization 2.Health & safety management system 5. Ways of communication
3.Identifying hazards, risks and control measures
6. Environmental awareness
Assessment The assessment is a 1-hour exam containing multiple-choice questions. Participants who successfully complete the assessment will be awarded the IOSH Supervising Safely Certificate by IOSH (The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health), United Kingdom. Progression IOSH courses provide an excellent foundation for students who may wish to take their Safety and health studies further. The next step will be a Level 3 qualification such as a NEBOSH Certificates.
