• GÉANT network in Europe

– IPv6 enabled since 2003 roku for national research NREN networks

• PIONIER – Polish Optical Internet – research and academic network

– IPv6 enabled since 2003 through GEANT network

• Metropolitan POZMAN network

– IPv6 started in 2002 as testbed, since 2003 – production traffic

• Polish DNS for suffix .pl IPv6 enabled since 2005 roku – NASK operator

• The biggest information portal of the city of Poznań

• The platform of e-Government services for citizens and businesses

• Developed since 1998 in co-operation with the Municipal Office

• PSNC is responsible for the technological part

• Local government, its departments and co-operating institutions are responsible for the content of the Portal and its structure

• The information platform of the Town Hall, its departments and units

• 1000+ editors• Stats:

– 10M visits/month– Bandwidth: near 500GB/month

• Firewall – due to lack of IPv6 support in current systems, dedicated fw was installed

• WWW server– Some patches needed in stats processing

• Web application– Database changes needed – increasing the size of db

fields storing IP address

• Low traffic – mainly bots
