Block Assembly1. Sew (1) 2 ½” x WOF Fabric B strip to the top of one 2 ½” x WOF Fabric A strip lengthwise. Sew one 2 ½” x WOF Fabric C strip to the top of the new strip lengthwise to make (1) Strip Set One strip (Fig. 1). Repeat to make (3) Strip Set One strips total.
2. Put fusible web on the back of the (3) Strip Set One strips.
3. Using the Template provided, cut out sixteen Unit 1 hearts (Fig. 2).
4. Sew (1) 2 ½” x WOF Fabric C strip to the top of one 2 ½” x WOF Fabric D strip lengthwise. Sew one 2 ½” x WOF Fabric A strip to the top of the new strip lengthwise to make (1) Strip Set Two strip (Fig. 3). Repeat to make (3) Strip Set Two strips total.
5. Put fusible web on the back of the (3) Strip Set Two strips.
6. Using the Template provided, cut out sixteen Unit 2 hearts (Fig. 4).

7. Sew (1) 2 ½” x WOF Fabric E strip to the top of one 2 ½” x WOF Fabric F strip lengthwise. Sew one 2 ½” x WOF Fabric C strip to the top of the new strip lengthwise to make (1) Strip Set Three strip (Fig. 5).
8. Put fusible web on the back of the Strip Set One strip.
9. Using the Template 1 provided, cut out four Unit 3 hearts (Fig. 6).

10. Refer to Figure 7 to arrange and press the four Unit 1 hearts onto one 14 ½” Fabric G square.
11. Finish the raw edges of each shape with a decorative stitch such as a buttonhole or satin stitch to make one Block One square.
12. Repeat Steps 10-11 to make four Block One squares total.
13. Repeat Steps 10-11 and use Figure 8 for fabric identification and location to make four Block Two squares.
14. Repeat Steps 10-11 and use Figure 9 for fabric identification and location to make one Block Three square.

Sashing Stripmake 2
15. Sew three 2 ½” x 14 ½” Fabric H strips and two 2 ½” Fabric I squares together end to end and alternating them to make one Sashing Strip (Fig. 10). Repeat to make a second Sashing Strip.

Quilt Top Assembly (Refer to the Quilt Diagram on Page 5 while assembling the quilt top.)16. Sew one Block One square, one 2 ½” x 14 ½” Fabric H strip, one Block Two square, one 2 ½” x 14 ½” Fabric H strip and one Block One square together and in that order to make Row One. Repeat to make Row Three.
17. Sew one Block Two square, one 2 ½” x 14 ½” Fabric H strip, one Block Three square, one 2 ½” x 14 ½” Fabric H strip and one Block Two square together and in that order to make Row Two.
18. Sew the three rows, in numerical order, and the two Sashing Strips together, alternating them, to make the Center Block.
19. Sew one 7 ½” x 46 ½” Fabric E strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew one 7 ½” x 60 ½” Fabric E strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block to make the quilt top.
20. Layer and quilt as desired.
21. Sew the six 2 ½” x WOF Fabric J strips together, end to end with 45-degree seams, to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half, lengthwise with wrong sides together, and press.
22. Bind as desired.
