The Municipality of Palo will be celebrating the 71st Leyte Gulf Landings Anniversary with the theme “LIBERATION: A PARADIGM FOR A RENEWED LEYTE”. Dubbed locally as “Pagbalik ha Palo”, the celebration depicts the return of the American Forces to the Philippine soil led by General Douglas McArthur to free us from the bondage of the Japanese Colonizers.
To give meaning to this historic event, the Local Government of Palo under Hon. Remedios “Matin” L. Petilla will be holding an art installation contest which will depict the theme for this year’s celebration using only recyclable materials. The contest aims to promote appreciation of art through the use of recyclable materials as a means of conveying the message of renewal for the betterment of the Province of Leyte, the liberation as paradigm.
In this regard, we would like to invite you to judge the LEYTE LANDING ART INSTALLATION CONTEST which will be held on October 17, 2015, 3:00 PM at the Second Floor Lobby of the Palo Municipal Building which will be held simultaneously with the Opening of the World War II Memorabilia and Art Exhibit. Your artistic abilities and achievements merit you to be one of the judges for this event.

In this regard, we would like to invite your School to join the LEYTE LANDING ART INSTALLATION CONTEST which will be held on October 17, 2015, 9:00 AM at the Second Floor Lobby of the Palo Municipal Building during the Opening of the World War II Memorabilia and Art Exhibit. All entries must be displayed on October 16, 2015 otherwise it will not be judged. Each school is allowed to have a maximum of two entries only. A portion of the exhibit area will be allotted for the art installations. Prizes: First Prize 10,000; Second Prize 5,000; and Third Prize 2,000.
