The project is a renovation of the Blanco Hall Dormitory on the Texas State University Campus in San Marcos for the Department of Housing and Residential Living (DHRL). Blanco Hall is currently DHRL's largest dormitory on campus with over 600 beds. DHRL’s primary goal of this project is to replace the current mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. The secondary goal is to replace architectural finishes which include new paint, flooring, ceilings and door hardware. The building consists of three wings each wing contains approximately 65,000sf of conditioned space and approximately 100 student rooms. The two site built lobbies are approximately 12,500sf each and tie each wing to-gether.
