INVITATION FOR BIDSROAD DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT

NORTHERN PROVINCE

01.The Chairman, Departmental Procurement Committee on behalf of the Road DevelopmentDepartment, Northern Province invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the works

described in the table below.

02.Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding Procedure.03.To be eligible for contract award, the successful bidder shall not have been blacklisted and shall have

been registered in the field ofHighway Construction for grade mentioned in the table below with the

ICTAD.

04.Qualification requirements are specified in Section 5 of the Bidding Documents.05.Interested bidders may obtain further information from Chief Engineer, Road Development

Department, Vavuniya(T.P. No. 0242222953) and inspect the bidding documents at the office of theChief Engineer, Road Development Department, Kandy Road, Vavuniya from 17

06.A complete set of Bidding Documents in English language may be purchased by interested bidders onthe submission of a written application to the Chief Engineer, Road Development Department, Kandy

June 2010 from 0900 hrs to 1500 hrsupon payment ofa non refundable fee as listed in the table. The method of payment will be by cash.

07.Bids shall be delivered to the address given below on or before 09th June 2010 at 10.00 am. Late bidswill be rejected. Bids will be opened soon after closing in the presence of the bidders representatives

who choose to attend.
