1. The Chairman of  Regional Procurement Committee on behalf of the Road Development

Department Kilinochchi invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for construction and

Annexed Table as described below and estimated to cost also given 

Type of Construction: Gravel, DBST &Causeway, Culvert work Road Name: Annexed Table

Location: Kilinochchi / Mullaitivu, Construction period: Four Months.

2. Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding Procedure.

3. To be eligible for contract award, the successful bidder shall not have been blacklisted and shall meet the

following requirements

4. Qualification requirements to qualify for contract award include: ICTAD Grade C7 or above in High

ways.

5. Interested bidders may obtain further information from Chief Engineer , Chief Engineer’s office Road  

  Development Department, 155 th

Mile Post, A9 Road, Kilinochchi. Tel 021 2285775, fax-021

2285775, email: rddkilin@gmail.com  and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below

from 09.00 hrs to 15.00 hrs. 

6. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English language may be purchased by interested bidders on the

submission of a written application to the Chief Engineer’s office Road   Development Department,

155 th Mile Post, A9 Road, Kilinochchi from 23rdof February, to 14th of March, 2012 from 09.00 

hrs to 15.00 hrs.  Upon payment of a non refundable fee of  listed in the annexed table the method of 

payment will be cash. 

7. Bids shall be delivered in duplicate to the address below at Chief Engineer’s office Road Development 

 Department, 155 th

Mile Post, A9 Road, Kilinochchi on or before 15th

of March, 2012 at 2.30pm. .

Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened soon after closing in the presence of the bidders’

representatives who choose to attend.

8. Bid shall be valid up to 14 th May 2012 (60 days from closing date of bid) 

9. All bids shall be accompanied by a “Bid-Security, of  Rupees as listed in the annexed table”   Bid security shall

be valid up to ( 60 days from closing date of bid)
