INVITATION FOR BIDS Fencing

The City of Antigo will accept sealed bids for fencing. Bids will be accepted until Friday, October 5, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Office of the City Clerk, 700 Edison Street, Antigo, Wisconsin. Please mark sealed bids with the title “FENCING”. Please refer any questions to the Public Works office, 700 Edison Street, Antigo, Wisconsin. If you would like to be added to the bidder’s list please send an e-mail to the following address: srepp@antigo-city.org Bids will be opened and read at 10:15 a.m. on Friday, October 5, 2012, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 700 Edison Street, Antigo, Wisconsin. The City of Antigo reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to accept the bid deemed the most advantageous to the City. The successful bidder must provide a minimum of 1 million dollars general and motor vehicle insurance with the City of Antigo being listed as an additional insured and Workers Compensation coverage as required by law.

FENCING BID SPECS

The fence must run along the wooded perimeter and remain off the landfill cap (see attached map, approximate cap limits noted in green).

150 lineal feet will require back filling with bentonite, because location of posts will be on the landfill cap (see attached map for location information).

Project completion no later than May 15, 2013. Option 1: Wood Post

Total of approximately 3,850 lineal feet Wood Posts must be treated 20’ spacing between posts Brace Posts and Brace Wire must be included as needed Minimum of 6’ high Posts must be buried a minimum of 4’ Vertical Stay Spacing of no more than 3” for the first 3 vertical feet Wire must be galvanized and woven There will be a total of 4 double gate areas (see attached drawing) for entry and

exit to the park. These entry/exit areas shall be stand-alone chain link style fencing secured using stakes that do not exceed 18”.

There will be one 50’ double swing gate for tractor access (see attached drawing) Option 2: Chain Link

Total of approximately 3,850 lineal feet Chain link fencing Minimum of 6’ high There will be a total of 4 double gate areas (see attached drawing) for entry and

exit to the park. These entry/exit areas shall be stand-alone chain link style fencing secured using stakes that do not exceed 18”.
