1. What is the budget?
Construction budget estimate = $140,000

Will UK-CNS-IT be furnishing and installing all communication cables, terminations, and certification of such? (Normally the electrical contractor responsibility is to provide the back-box rough in and a conduit or j-hook pathway with pullstring only, to closest tie-in point as required!)
Yes.
3. What is the anticipated start date for this project? Project can start after Notice to Proceed,
to be issued within one week of bid due date.
4.
Can you clarify the intent of the work required per Note 4 on A-110 “4. INSTALL NEW 8 GAUGE ALUMINUM PANEL BEHIND LOUVER AND CREATE A WATERTIGHT SEAL. INFILL VOID WITH RIGID INSULATION AND FRAME OPENING WITH 3 " METAL STUDS TO ACCEPT ONE LAYER OF 21" PLYWOOD AND INTERIOR FACING MATERIAL TO MATCH EXISTING WALL SURFACE FLUSH. PAINT TO MATCH.”
These instructions are to infill the outside air opening behind the wall fan coil units that are being removed. We want an insulated panel to avoid any condensation. The aluminum is to prevent future corrosion issues.

The finish schedule states for the ceiling grid Suprafine XL, 15/16”, but this is 2 different types. Please confirm if you want Suprafine 9/16 or Standard 15/16” grid.
The grid should be “Prelude XL 15/16”.

The finish schedule states all rooms are to be painted, however, the floor plan only calls for certain rooms to be painted with drywall touch up per Note 5 on A-110. Please advise.

7. Are the existing ceilings in rooms 151a – 151h Gypsum Board or Grid?
151A – 151E & 151H are not in the scope of work but they are grid.

The special conditions section article 32 is worded oddly. In the first part of the paragraph it states that UK IT is responsible for communications pre-wiring and later states the GC needs to coordinate with UK IT for the pre-wiring of the phone system. My assumption is that UK IT will be doing the data/telecom installation for this project. Is that correct?
That is correct. The electrical contractor provides rough-in for data ports only. No telephone wiring is involved in this project.

In hardware set #1 doors (151G) and (151H) are both listed.
• Door (151G) is the only existing door in the hardware set and does not show on the door schedule that it should receive a hardware set.
• Door (151H) is not listed on the door schedule but is included in hardware set #1. Based on the floorplans it does not appear this opening should be receiving a new door or hardware.
Please clarify whether these doors should receive any new hardware.
Updated drawings are attached. 151G is existing; I will strike it from hardware group for the addendum. I will strike 151H also as it is existing. It’s not on the schedule since it’s not in scope of work.

It shows existing flooring will remain and will be protected in place,. Who will patch the flooring where the storage room and partial wall are removed per notes 1 & 4 on AD-110?
Those repairs per notes 1 & 4, are the contractor’s responsibility.

1. DISCONNECT POWER FROM FAN COIL UNIT.
2. REMOVE ALL EXISTING LIGHT FIXTURES. DEMO ALL WIRING,
WIREMOLD, AND CONDUIT BACK TO MAIN CONNECTIONS.
EXISTING LIGHTS SHALL BE TURNED OVER TO THE BUILDING
OPERATOR.
3. EXISTING SMOKE DETECTORS TO BE REMOVED. REMOVE
DETECTORS AND ASSOCIATED CONDUIT AND WIRING. DETECTOR
DEVICES MAY BE SALVAGED AND RE-USED WHERE INDICATED.
4. DISCONNECT EXISTING WIRELESS ROUTER AND SAVE FOR
REINSTALLATION.
5. REMOVE EXISTING FIRE ALARM SIGNAL FOR REINSTALLATION AT
NEW LOCATION. WORK TO BE PERFORMED BY FIRE ALARM
CONTRACTOR.
6. REMOVE EXISTING EMERGENCY EXIT SIGN. TURN OVER TO THE
BUILDING OPERATOR. DEMO WIRING AND CONDUIT.
7. DEMO LIGHT SWITCHES AND BOX. REMOVE WIRING AND
CONDUIT.
8. DEMO EXISTING DUPLEX RECEPTACLE, WIRING, AND WIREMOLD.
9. DEMO EXISTING LIGHT SWITCH. PREPARE LOCATION FOR
INSTALLATION OF NEW LIGHT SWITCH WITH DIMMER.
10. EXISTING EMERGENCY EXIT SIGN TO REMAIN.
11. DEMO EXISTING CEILING LIGHT FIXTURE IN THIS AREA.
12. SEE SHEET ED-111 FOR WORK IN CONFERENCE ROOM 151F.
13. DEMO EXISTING DUPLEX RECEPTACLE, WIRING, AND WIRE MOLD.
14. DEMO DUPLEX RECEPTACLE, WIRING AND CONDUIT TO BELOW
FLOOR AND BACK TO MAIN CONNECTION. SEAL HOLE WITH
NON-SHRINK GROUT, FLUSH WITH EXISTING SURFACE.
15. DEMO QUAD RECEPTACLES, WIRING, AND CONDUIT BACK TO MAIN
CONNECTION ABOVE CEILING.
16. DEMO EXISTING DUPLEX RECEPTACLE, WIRING, WIREMOLD, AND
CONDUIT TO BELOW FLOOR AND BACK TO MAIN CONNECTION.
SEAL HOLE WITH NON-SHRINK GROUT, FLUSH WITH EXISTING
SURFACE.
17. EXISTING ELECTRICAL PANELBOARD TO BE REPLACED. DEMO
EXISTING DUPLEX RECEPTACLE, WIRING, AND CONDUIT
CONNECTED TO EXISTING ELECTRICAL PANELBOARD.
18. EXISTING DUPLEX RECEPTACLES, AND CONDUIT TO REMAIN.
REPLACE EXISTING WIRING. SEE E-100 FOR ADDITIONAL
INFORMATION.
19. DEMO "IN USE" SIGN AND ALL ASSOCIATED CONDUIT, WIRING, AND
SWITCHES.
20. EXISTING DATA TO REMAIN.
21. DEMO EXISTING DATA PORT, WIRING AND CONDUIT TO BELOW
FLOOR AND BACK TO MAIN CONNECTION. SEAL HOLE WITH
NON-SHRINK GROUT, FLUSH WITH EXISTING SURFACE.

DEVICES MAY BE SALVAGED AND RE-USED WHERE INDICATED.
6. REMOVE CLOCK RECEPTACLE AND COVER THE JUNCTION BOX
WITH A SOLID PLATE.
7. DEMO WALL LIGHT, WIRING, AND WIREMOLD.
8. RELOCATED QUAD RECEPTACLE. SEE SHEET E-111 FOR NEW
LOCATION.
9. EXISTING TO REMAIN.
10. REMOVE ALL LIGHT FIXTURES AND WIRING.
11. DISCONNECT POWER FROM MINI-SPLIT UNIT ON WALL. DEMO ALL
WIRING, CONDUIT, ETC. BACK TO BREAKERS 13 AND 15 IN PANEL
BOARD LOCATED IN ROOM 151.
12. DEMO ALL RECEPTACLES, WIREMOLD, AND JUNCTION BOXES.
DEMO ALL WIRING AND CONDUIT BACK TO BREAKER IN PANEL
BOARD IN ROOM 151. REPAIR ANY DAMAGE TO WALL.
13. DEMO DISCONNECT BOX, STAND, AND ALL ELECTRICAL TO
OUTDOOR UNIT. DEMO ALL WIRING, AND CONDUIT BACK TO
PANEL BOARD IN ROOM 151. SEAL REMAINING HOLE IN ROOF
WITH MATCHING MATERIAL.
14. OUTDOOR UNIT TO BE REMOVED BY MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR.
EXISTING PLATFORM TO REMAIN.
15. EXISTING SMOKE DETECTOR SHALL BE REMOVED AND
REINSTALLED WITH NEW CEILING.
16. REMOVE WIRING AND GROMMET. PATCH THE WALL PRIOR TO
