The COVID-19 pandemic has brought challenges to TMP’s business, especially during the implementation of nationwide community quarantine. Nevertheless, the situation further emphasized the importance of mobility. For people who stay inside their homes, we realize how mobility can be synonymous to freedom. On the other hand, today’s heroes battle the daily grind of commuting to work to provide essential services. We now fully appreciate what we normally take for granted under normal circumstances – that mobility and motor vehicles are very important necessities, especially during these challenging times.

Today, Toyota is banking on its strengths to respond to the needs of society through better mobility services. Toyota is driven more than ever with its concept of mobility, using technological innovations that are very relevant to cope with societal limitations. We are moving double-time to develop helpful technologies related to connectivity, automation, shared mobility, and electrification. These will eventually enable communities to utilize vehicles with features that are more human-centricthan ever.

As TMP takes its first steps towards transforming from an automobile company to a mobility company in today’s “new normal” setting, our Customer First philosophy remains to be our guide – putting customers at the heart of our day-to-day business. Soon, when we all get back on the road headed to our respective destinations, Toyota will continue to deliver and even exceed expectations with the safest and most reliable products and experiences our customers deserve.
