Invest in the Next Generation of Students

Every young person with talent, drive and desire should have access to a college education.

Many students cannot afford to go to college or have limited awareness of how to pay for higher education. With tuition costs increasing at alarming rates, financing college has become out of reach formany Santa Barbara County families.

The Scholarship Foundation of Santa Barbara provides scholarships for undergraduate, graduate and vocational education and offers financial aidadvising to Santa Barbara County high school students.

A college education is an appreciating asset, resulting in a better educated workforce. Graduates giveback to the community through their career choices, donations, and volunteer efforts. Scholarships area cost-effective way of changing society.

The youngest of twelve children, Monica attended UC Berkeley, and went on toearn her Masters Degree in Public Policy from USC. This education, combinedwith her natural talents, helped Monica develop a wonderful career. Unrestricted Gifts:Your gift will be used where it is needed most.

Annual Scholarship Funds: Annual Scholarship Funds are available withgifts of $2,500 and above. Gifts may be madein the name of your family, business, founda-tion, club or organization and are awarded tostudents in the current academic year.

With this gift you will receive a student profile each May, and a thank you letter fromthe recipient. There is no administrative fee.

Endowed Scholarship Funds: The Scholarship Foundation manages permanent scholarship funds, providing scholarships to local students, in perpetuity.Your gift of $35,000 or more is invested,increasing your support for future generations.Memorial or tribute gifts may be made in thename of a loved one, or in the name of yourchoosing. There is no administrative fee.

Legacy Gifts: You can play a vital role in helping provide a college education with a gift to theScholarship Foundation of Santa Barbarathrough your estate plans. Belinda Zola struggled to put herself through college. She knows the challenge of achieving ahigher education while balancing the financialburden. Belinda and her husband Steve wantedto give back and were interested in helpingyoung people. They learned of an opportunity to give scholarships through a group calledF.U.N.D. (Families Uniting to Nurture Dreams). Together, the Zola family and all of the F.U.N.D. families have given nearly $200,000 to help local students attend college.
