• Kalundu (meaning small mountain in Subia/Silozi)
• My given names• Muzamai (meaning a traveller in subia/silozi)• Kennedy (named by uncle)• Sean (my soccer name and it became very popular, and hence
started using it on official documents)• Friends from the Caprivi region still pronounce this name as “Seen”

About myself: Family• The only child between my father and mother
• They never married after me
• Have half brothers and sisters• My father’s side
• 3 brothers (two finished university, MBA) and George has business• 3 sisters (none of them went to University)
• My mother’s side:• 3 brothers (1 is currently a first year student doing a 5 year Engineering
degree at The Polytechnic of Namibia)• The last born (Fine is still in elementary school)• Sisi is a qualified engineer in fishing vessel in Walvis bay)• 4 sisters (2 are working: English teacher and Military-Navy division) and 2
are still in high school)

Agricultural Background• Grew up on little land where the family engaged in
subsistence farming• Mix farming setup where we raised cattle and grow crops
(maize, sorghum, cassava, pearl millet-mahangu, peanuts and bambara nuts)
• I enjoyed looking after cattle than growing crops• With cattle herding,
• we will be leaving home into the grazing lands walking about 10 miles (a little over 16 kilometers) of meeting with other boys from the neighboring villages
• Play soccer, hunt birds and or small animals like rabbits, hares and dik-dik

Educational background• Completed High school
• Spent a year at home because of lack of money to pay for University
• Completed a 3 year diploma in agriculture in 1997
• 1998: enrolled for a 4 year degree at the University of Namibia, Agriculture with majors in Agricultural Economics and Extension completed this in 2001
• 2002: worked as an Agricultural Training Officer: Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Forestry at Neudamm Agricultural College, Windhoek
• Ever since then my career in agriculture continued, worked with farmers and trained students in the areas of agriculture, production, financial management and marketing

degree at the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville• Majors: Agricultural Economics & International

and • slotted in as a Full Time Lecturer in the Department of
Agricultural Economics & Extension
