Why Regional TSAs?
Assist regional tourism authorities to understand the economic contribution of visitors
To
Support national and regional authorities in developing policies to attract visitors and investments
Manifest the size and extent of the network of tourism industries and potential productive partnerships
Portray specific features of Tourism Economic Contribution that can be compared to other subnational and national areas
Standards
Complying with:
UNWTO (2008). International Recommendations for Tourism
UNWTO, Eurostat, OECD, (2008). Tourism Satellite Account: Recommended Methodological Framework.
The National Statistical Office (Istat) oversees elaboration of the R-TSA in the national area and certifies that it is comparable to the national TSA

Aims Final aim of regional TSAs is to quantify the added value produced in each Italian region by tourism-related activities

The project study “Processing for Veneto of the internal tourism consumption by product, according to the satellite account standards (tables 1-4)” is included in the National Statistical Plan 2015-2016

The objectives of the project study are to quantify the internal tourism consumption in Veneto and to develop and validate an estimation method to share with other Italian regions

Veneto is the most visited italian region in terms of nights spent (16% of the national value)
Availability of SIRT, tourism information system for the collection and management of data on tourism movements in Veneto (Veneto Region), thanks to its high-quality and complexity
Availability ad-hoc survey Italian visitors in Veneto: features of trip, kind and level of expenditure (Ciset)
An experimental study regarding the processing of production matrix for Veneto has been conducted by Italian NA Department (Istat, National Statistical Office) in 2013
Veneto Region is very interested in the topic
