Removable Complete Denture (CD): A removable dental prosthesis that replaces

the entire dentition and associated structures of the maxilla and/or mandible

Parts of Complete Denture A) Denture Base: which cover the

edentulous tissue area and carries the artificial teeth

CD has three surfaces:

i. Polished surface( cameo surface) The outer surface of the denture and in

contact to the muscle of cheek and tongue

ii. Fitting Surface ( intaglio surface ) The inner surface of the denture that

contact to the oral mucosa

iii. Occlusal Surface: A surface of posterior teeth or occlusion

rim that is intended to make contact with opposing occlusal surface

Steps in CD ConstructionCD construction cosists of six steps:1. Diagnosis, treatment plan, primary
