The Definition of

Flight Data Monitoring.

Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) is the systematic, pro-active use of digital flight data from routine operations to improve aviation safety.

Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) programmes assist an operator to identify, quantify, assess and address operational risks.
