Introduction
Eventbrite’s API allows for developers to extend the utility of our platform by integrating users’ data in useful and innovative ways.
Eventbrite’s Benefit: Eventbrite supports integrations that actively engage our users, acquire new event organizers, or distribute our event content to new audiences.
Partner’s Benefit: API partners receive distribution of their service among our user base and/or enhancement of their product with additional functionality.
Current Functionality
Eventbrite’s API is leveraged in many unique and innovative ways, but the most common implementations center around syncing 2 datasets from the Eventbrite platform.
• Attendee Information: Because Eventbrite is (1) the system of record for who attends/purchases for an event and (2) the initial entry point for customer data –many applications will enhance the user experience by pulling attendee information via the API.
• Event Information: Because Eventbrite is the ecommerce platform for our customer’s events– event organizers make sure that the event information on Eventbrite is their “source of truth”.
Use Cases
Sync Attendee Information:• Sync attendee records to Email Service Providers, CRM,
Lead Generation Platforms, or Survey Tools, etc.• Sync email addresses to distribute your mobile app,
special offers, content to attendees that registered.
Sync Event Information: • Sync an event organizer’s events to a 3rd party service
like a Content Management System, a Calendar service, or to populate data in a mobile application.
• Sync many events across multiple event organizers to populate an event listings calendar, or to enrich a local data directory.
