INTRODUCTION TO CLINICAL HEMATOLOGY Explore the principles of clinical hematology in this comprehensive introductory course for aspiring clinical laboratory professionals. Gain a basic introduction to cell morphology; study the array of anemias, white blood cell disorders and abnormalities in hemostasis; and, examine commonly used laboratory methods and diagnostic techniques. This course is ideally suited for individuals seeking entry to a Clinical Laboratory Science program and need to fulfill the hematology prerequisite.* Other pre-health professions students (nursing, medicine, veterinary medicine) who would benefit from a foundational course in hematology are also encouraged to participate. * This course is approved by the UC Davis CLS program.
