Branches of biology

Page 5: introduction to biology

- Molecular biology is a branch of science concerning biological activity at the molecular level. The field of molecular biology overlaps with biology and chemistry and in particular, genetics and biochemistry.

Fresh water biology•It seeks to understand the relationships

between living organisms in freshwater (lakes, rivers etc) and their physical and chemical environment.

Marine biology is the study of marine organisms, their behaviors and interactions with the environment. Marine biologists study biological oceanography and the associated fields of chemical, physical, and geological oceanography to understand marine organisms.

Human biology

Human biology is an academic field of biology which focuses onhumans; it is closely related to medicine, primate biology, and a number of other fields. A human being is a multicellular eukaryote consisting of an estimated 100 trillion cells.
