    HRM aims to increase organizational effectiveness and

    capability the capacity of an organization to achieveits goals by making the best use of the

    resources available to it (Armstrong, 2010).

    HRM systems can be the source of organizationalcapabilities that allow firms to learn and capitalize onnew opportunities. (Ulrich & Lake,1990)

    ButHRM has an ethical dimension which means that

    it must also be concerned with the rights and needs ofpeople in organizations through the exercise of

    social responsibility.
