    Concessional rate of 5 percent customs duty on

    most of the technical textile machinery

    Reduction in excise duty on man-made fibre andfilament yarns : major raw material for technical

    textiles.

    TUFS.

    Government Initiatives

    Under TUFS, 10% capital subsidy on identifiedtechnical textile machinery has been provided inline with processing machinery.

    Withdrawal of excise duty exemption on sanitarynapkins / baby diapers / incontinence diapers.

    Anomaly in customs duty has been removed onfinished goods vis--vis raw material, i.e., Aramidfabrics vis--vis aramid yarn.
