FAMOUS WOMEN WEB QUEST
INTRODUCTION.
There have been many famous women whose contributions are very important to our society. Do you know Dorothy Crowfoot Hodgkin , Angela Merkel, Marie Curie, Serena Williams, Edmonia Lewis? How much do you know about them? With this web quest, you will learn more about their lives, works and achievements. Then you will be able to show your findings to your classmates.
TASK
You and your friends will create a poster on an important woman. The poster will give information about her early life and education , characteristics, major successes and influence on the world. You will stick texts and pictures on a poster board. You will explain the poster to your classmates. Finally, the project will be hang on your school walls. Be neat and tidy . . . everybody will see your work!
PROCESS To do this Web Quest you have to follow these instructions very
carefully: 1 - Your teacher will divide the class into five groups of
six students (groups A, B, C, D, E, F). Each group will work on an important woman. 2- If you don't understand something or if you need help, visit the resources part. You can get the information you need.
3- Write a composition about 250 words with the information you have collected in your report.
4- Work with all the members of your group and prepare a poster on the woman you have studied. Show texts and pictures on your poster.
5- Present your work to your classmates in 10 minutes. Show them your poster and speak in English about her life, career and her achievements. 6- Listen to your classmates and fill in the co. evaluation sheet.
7- Stick the posters on the walls of your school and have an attentive look at all of them.
