The main objective of this activity was to give introduction to students regarding the use of GPS and Au-toCAD software in research work. Er. Daljeet Singh, Executive Engineer, CUPB was the resource person who spared his valuable for the students. He guided the students by collecting different locational points in the university campus with the help of GPS device and after which the locational coordinates & height of different points were transferred and input in AutoCAD. The whole process was lectured with the help of ppt in geography & geology lab. It was indeed a new stepping stone for the masters’ as well as research scholar. The lecture was followed by round of discussion from the students enquiring the applications in their research work and ended with a tea refreshment.
