Two way to get AnalyticsInfo
Network Data Analytics Function (NWDAF) is introduced in R15 but its main feature is
developed in R16. The NWDAF includes the following functionality:
① Support data collection from
NFs and AFs;
② Support data collection from
OAM;
③ NWDAF service registration
and metadata exposure to
NFs/AFs;
④ Support analytics information
provisioning to NFs, AF.

OAM Data Type
Example
UE Data ‐ MDT Data, TS 37.320, RSRP/RSRQ/Power Headroom/Packet Delay/Received Signal Strength Indicator/Round Trip Time
‐ QoE Metric, TS 26.247, Average Throughput, Initial Playout Delay, Buffer Level, Play List, MPD Information, Playout Delay for Media Start-up, Device Information
RAN Data ‐ MDT Data, TS 37.320, Received Interference Power/Data Volume/Scheduled IP Throughput/Packet Loss rate
KPI Data ‐ Network KPI Data, TS 28.55x series, Performance measurements for gNB/Performance measurements for CN/End to end KPI
1.2 What Info can be Obtained by NWDAF
The NWDAF get information from OAM based on mechanisms such as Tracing, MDT and
QoE
• Global level (per area, slice level, NF
level) instead of UE/UE group level
information is obtained, i.e., UE
MDT/QoE Metric, RAN, and KPI data

• 5G system is modelled as IEEE 802.1AS compliant time aware system for
supporting TSN time synchronization
Periodic deterministic QoS, NW-TT/DS-TT上The features include the following: - providing TSC Assistance Information (TSCAI) that describe TSC flow traffic patterns at the gNB ingress and UE egress interfaces for traffic in downlink and uplink direction, respectively; - Support for hold & forward buffering mechanism in DS-TT and NW-TT to de-jitter flows that have traversed the 5G System.

2.2 Challenges of Deterministic Network Capability
• Only used for local area
• High requirement for terminal and network element
• UPF shall be synchronized with gNB as well as
other CP functions
• NIC need to support 1588
• Industry support still has gap
• Complicated CNC(TTTECH)
• Besides TSN, other Eathertype support still has
some obstacles
• Further development (China Mobile, NOKIA, Verizon)
• 5G native support deterministic features: 5G
System not a black box but a TSC system
• Extend from layer 2 to layer 3: 5G+DetNet
12
3.1 5GLAN:enable operator to provide LAN-type service
• Enable devices in localized network with most optimized communication path, i.e.,
local switch
• Support wide-area network coverage, device service continuity due to mobility, and
multiple service isolation in a 5GLAN;
• Super-easy user/UE configuration to join/leave LAN;
