We own one of the world’s newest ultra-deepwater fleets and the largest fleet of premium jackups. Our high-quality fleet includes drillships, dynamically-positioned semisubmersibles, moored semisubmersibles and premium jackups. We also provide drilling management services for customer-owned deepwater and shallow water rigs. Our rigs have drilled some of the most complex wells in virtually every major offshore basin around the globe, and we currently operate across six continents.

Our Competency Assurance Program is accredited by the International Association of Drilling Contractors. Standardization of rig design, equipment and operating systems is integral to Ensco’s strategy. Standardization streamlines operations, increases efficiency and reliability, improves inventory management and facilitates employee transfers within our fleet. Fleet Highlights Ensco’s drillships are equipped with some of the most technically advanced well construction features available in the offshore drilling industry including advanced systems for hoisting, blowout preventer handling, drilling and mud controls and station keeping. Currently three drillships are under construction. Our ENSCO 8500 Series® ultra-deepwater semisubmersible rigs, capable of drilling in up to 8,500 feet of water, use a proprietary design developed with extensive input from customers to address the drilling requirements of nearly every deep water field around the world. These rigs have built a history of outstanding performance and continue to attract repeat customers. Ensco’s premium jackup fleet is the largest and most capable in the world. We continue to execute on our long-established strategy of high-grading our fleet by investing in newer equipment. Since the beginning of 2005, Ensco has invested more than $2 billion in our jackup fleet including the construction of four new ENSCO 120 Series ultra-premium harsh environment jackups that are enhanced versions of the KFELS Super A design; two ENSCO 140 Series high specification jackups of the LeTourneau Super 116E design; and ENSCO 110, a KFELS B Class premium jackup. All ENSCO 120 and ENSCO 140 Series jackups include Ensco’s patented Canti-Leverage AdvantageSM technology, which provides cost advantages for customers by allowing them to drill more wells from one location when utilizing the enhanced hoisting capacity at the farthest reach of the cantilever. Recognition For the fifth year in a row, Ensco ranked highest among offshore drillers in the most recent Customer Satisfaction Index of Global Oilfield Suppliers conducted by EnergyPoint Research. We earned first place in Total Satisfaction with top honors in 10 of 16 categories including Health, Safety and Environment; Technology; Deepwater Drilling; Harsh Climate Applications; Shelf Wells; Special Applications; North Sea; Latin America and Mexico.
