As it is said, the life of bee isn’t enough long for making a teaspoonful honey.

Just like human who can succeed smiling at “someone” even if this is not enough

for the whole people. Really, even if it is vey difficult sometimes,

is smiling at people a great sacrifice?

Page 3: Introduction Brochure of Kimse Yok Mu Association

3

No, none of that will be told will be story of a great sacrifice. Even if poverty

wasn’t seperated equally to each meridian of the world, reaching the “farthest”

naked-foot child doesn’t mean sacrifice. At most, it has been the duty of human as

of it was created… It is to return what is already his share. It is to share your food,

your home, your most valuable assets. Just like any creature, who carries

mercy in her heart, has done for centuries.

IS ANYONE THERE?The name of our association can be elucidated in two ways parallel with each other: The

call of people who are waiting for help and the call of our association to helpful people. Our

association turned into an institution in order to act as a bridge between these two points.

After the Big Marmara Earthquake, we became an association within TV in 2002 with the

project which was formed in “Kimse Yok Mu” programme broadcasted in Samanyolu TV in

2001. Detaching from television in 2004, we continued our activities with non-governmental

organization (NGO) identity. Television programme still continues to be broadcasted at STV

every week.

Our association, which strives for struggling against poverty since its inception, organizes aid

campaigns for meeting the basic needs of needy people in felds like poverty, war, disaster,

health, education in domestic and abroad, develops projects and deliver aids to necessary

locations. Through our success in delivering donations in exact amount, to exact destination

and at exact time, the name of our association is heard by our people widely day by day and is

respected more and more… And, we are very happy because of this trust.

Page 9: Introduction Brochure of Kimse Yok Mu Association

Public Interest” appreciated by Council of Ministers in 2006, we have been very proud of our

trustworthiness has been approved by public. In 2008, “Honour Award” given by Turkish Grand

National Assembly strenghtened our belief and power. Our association, that has brought aid

What does Sister Family mean?

Sister Family means needy families are

“consigned” to wealthy families. sister family

meets the material and moral needs of needy

family, look after them. If there is not a father

in needy family, sister family becomes the

father of them. If children of an old couple

forgot their parents faitlessly, sister family

becomes child of them. In short, sister family

completes the missings of the needy family.

In addition, not as a “duty”, sister family do

all these things “with pleasure”…

What are the duties of sister family against needy family?

1. Visit needy family constantly.

able to go shopping and hospital or to be

not able to carry heavy things, all these

works are done or to be done by sister

family.

4. Create solutions if needy family has

problems like their children’s attending

school, finding job for family members,

etc.

5. Visit family at Feasts and host them. They

can buy clothes for children at Feasts.

6. Determine all kind of problems of the

needy family. If they can solve with their

own means, they do. If not, they receive

help from environment for the needy

family.

What are the duties of sister family towards the association?

1. Sister family gives information to the

association about the needy family’s

situation preiodically.

2. If there is an extraordinary situation

association has to be informed, sister

family informs the association

3. If sister family has unsolvable problems

sourced by needy family or has problems

preventing them in helping, they can leave

being sister family. This situation has to be

declared to the association.

Sister family at “Kimse Yok Mu”

Breathing new life into our social mutual

aid understanding, this project affected the

sister families lives in a positive way. Our

association didn’t help only once for needy

people, but also found sisters and brothers for

more than 500 families in the context of this

project that aims at consigning them to their

sisters and brothers and being acquaint of

demands of needy people continuously and

SISTER FAMILY“Sister Family Project” emerged in the new

format of “Kimse Yok Mu” TV programme that

was started to be broadcasted in Anatolia in

Emrecan’s surgical operation was made

Living in Adana, Emrecan drank oil solvent

mistakenly and couldn’t eat after that unlucky

accident. Emrecan’s food pipe burned and he

suffered all the time. His treatment required

a very high amount that his family couldn’t

afford. We launched a campaign for Emrecan

and first support for the campaign came from

a surprise person: Emre Belözoğlu (Football

Player at Galatasaray)

After 10.000 YTL donation of Emre Belözoğlu,

many charitable people contributed the

campaign and Emrecan’s surgical operation

was made. After difficult tmes he has lived,

Emrecan is very happy now.

Sinem has a new liver now!

When little Sinem’s family applied our

association, Sinem was having a heavy liver

disease. She was trying to scratch her body

by rubbing her body to the walls because

of her liver disease and she was bleeding.

Sinem didn’t talk to people and only suffered

because of this. We provided 60.000 YTL

needed for her surgical operation as a result

of a campaign we implemented for her. We

tended her to have a new liver that will save

her from her problems. Now, Sinem and her

family praise charitable people each day of

new life they started.
