THICK FILM CHIP RESISTORS RMC
MEGASTAR-OHM thick film chip resistors are suitable for a wide range of soldering methods and are ideal for use with highspeed automatic insertion machinery. On a high grade ceramic body (aluminum oxide) a metal glaze layer is screened.Depending on the composition of the metal glaze different resistance values can be obtained. At both ends, a contact is made in such a way that optimum solderability is guaranteed. This is achieved by applying three layers. The resistive layer is covered with a protective coat.
1. A wide range of values and power ratings for design flexibility
2. Thick film Ruthenium Oxide (RuO2) element for excellent stability.
3. Operating temperatures ranges from -55ºC to +125ºC.
4. RMC 1/10W will withstand 1/8W dissipation with sufficient mounting space.
5. RMC 1/8W will withstand 1/4W dissipation with sufficient mounting space.
6. Zero OHM (0.05Ω max) jumper available in all sizes.
7. Resistor values available as low as 0.01 OHM

As shown in the chart, a two-digit number is assigned to each standard R-value per (E96). This is
followed by an alpha code system which is a multiplier for the value table. Each letter from A-Zrepresents a specific multiplier. By combining a specific two-digit number and a letter code you have thecomplete coding formula for (E96) R-value codes.

LOW OHM THICK FILM CHIP RESISTORS RLCRLC 10, 18, 14, 12, 01
MEGASTAR-OHM’S RLC series is the best choice where low resistance values and stability are critical. The RLC
series provides an SMD solution for current sensing and current limiting functions. Power supply, motor control and
safety/overload related circuitry are just a few of the many applications where this component has significant value.
1. Anti-leaching nickel barrier terminations
2. 90/10 solder plated terminations, standard
3. Meets EIA 575,EIA PDP-100, MIL-R 55342D, UL94V-O
4. Resistance values as low as 0.1Ω .
5. Excellent solderability for all soldering methods due
to superior termination composition/construction.
6. Operating temperatures from -55 to 125ºC.
7. Available in tape and reel for auto placement.

CHIP ATTENUATORS NATNAT 16
This product is a miniature attenuator for high density surface mount applications. The MEGASTAR-OHM’s NAT16
Series attentuator satisfies small, lightweight components required of the portable communications industry and was
developed primarily for the RF attenuation of cellular phones.
1. Three characteristics impedances to choose from:
50Ω, 75Ω, and 600Ω .2. Available in 1,2,3, and 6dB attenuation levels.3. Covers a broad frequency range from DC through
3 GHz
4. Improves T.C.R. tracking over discrete resistors.5. Increases placement ratio three to one when
compared to discrete resistors.6. Available in tape and reel for auto placement.

CSR 1
CSR 1.5
Megastar OHM’s CSR series resistor is made of a high-quality aluminum ceramic substrate. The terminations are laid with a copper supplement that
contributes to its excellent thermal characteristics. The thick film resistive material is laid and wrap-around terminations added. Finally, a protective epoxy
coating is added and the terminations are electroplated with a nickel barrier, wich controls leaching and promotes solderability.

CURRENT SENSING CHIP RESISTORS CSR
As the chart illustrates, over current performance is superior with our CSR series wich uses thick film technology. Parasitic
capacitance and inductance found in metal strip parts are significantly reduced in the CSR series due to a superior trimming
process.

STANDARD RESISTANCE VALUES & CODES
STANDARD RESISTANCE VALUES-E96For use with 1% tolerance resistors (except 0603 package chip resistors)
The charts above and below may be used to determine the alternate marking coding formula of the 0603 package chip resistors, also found on page 5 part (subheading 5).
The chart above may be used to calculate the standard resistance code for any order of magnitude with the exception of the 0603package chip resistors, which have a special chart on this page to illustrate how they are marked.
