Attendees:Fabian Adayo, Pastor Walt & Sue Dickinson, Pastor Jon & Debbie Heierman, Past Scott & Karen Sessler, Kathy & Bob Chiaravalli, Jill McKinney, Bill & Andrea Stevenson, Brian & Debbie Radloff

Started off the meeting with a BBQ and fellowship with Fabian Adayo. Fabian is currently serving as and International camp counselor at Living Waters Stony Lake Camp. Fabian currently serves as the Assistant to the General Secretary of the Mbulu Diocese of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania. It was such a pleasure having Fabian visit with us and share his experiences from Tanzania.

Tanzania Trip dates are finalized for Nov. 6th – 10th

o Need to finalize Synod Attendees, Mbulu can accommodate a maximum of 8.o The Synod has sent out a notice asking for interested parties to contact Walt or Brian (see the

announcement attached below.o Discussed basic requirements for attendeeso Pastor Kurt Hutchens will visit Mbulu in September, need to coordinate with him. He may be

able to set some ground work for our November visit The Haydom Hospital Container

o project through World Medical Relief needs Synod approval to start the fund raising campaign,o Walt and Brian to met with Bishop Kreiss on Monday July, 10th.o Bishop Kreiss was supportive of the initiative and has sent out an appeal to all church for

donations (see the appeal attached below) Scholarships – Bill & Andrea

o Enough funds have been raised for 9-10 scholarships for the Dongobesh Secondary School.o Feel that communication has stalled a bit

Fabian suggested contacting Martin Tango. Fabian will connect Brian with Martin

Dongobesh Primary School for the Deafo Fabian reported that the deaf school is in desperate need of support for materials and supplieso We will add this to our list of appeals for funding / donations

Tanzania Handbook needs updateso Travel Updates / Requirementso Commitment to follow-up upon return from travel to Mbulu

Communicationso Concerns were raised that communications between SEMI/Mbulu sister congregations is not

goodo Jill volunteered to contact SEMI churches and gauge level of involvement

Waama Bible Collegeo Fabian mentioned collecting instruments for Waama Bible College
