Preface & Acknowledgements
Patient's heightened esthetic and functional expectation in periodontics and implant dentistry requires precise soft and hard tissue surgical management. There are variety of periodontal and implant surgical techniques available today. To perform these myriad of surgeries accurately and properly, and in many instances, simultaneously for a predictable clinical results, a clinician requires a sufficient set of surgical instruments for the following procedures: Complete dental diagnosis, periodontal and implant surgical procedures, including full and partial thickness flap management, root extraction and degranulation, scaling and root planning, soft tissue esthetic grafting, implant placement, various bone grafting, as well as sinus augmentation. Furthermore, for economy and convenience, most of these instruments should be included be in one cassette which fits into autoclave size most dentists have in their offices. The Han-Park AnySurgery Kits are created with these concepts in mind, and they will provide clinicians with an effective, and economical set of surgical instruments to perform above surgical procedures accurately and efficiently.

CHIESEL 13K/TG
This instrument has two different ends. The chisel end is used for delicate or large atraumatic gingival flap reflection. It is also used for harvesting small amounts of autologous bone grafts using pushing actions. The other curved chisel end is used for flap reflection in mandibular posterior lingual concavities without perforating delicate flaps. It is also used for harvesting small amounts of autologous bone grafts, and root planning of lingual or buccal radicular surfaces using scraping actions.
MS1001
KIRKLAND 15/16
This instrument is generally used for gingivectomy procedures, but it is especially effective for gingivectomy or tissue severing procedures in maxillary tuberosity or mandibular retro-molar hard to reach places.

MODIFIED PERIOSTEAL 2
This instrument has two different ends. Wider end is used for reflection of flaps during surgeries for visibility and flap protection. It is angled for most efficient flap reflection, and shiny surface provide reflective viewing of distal root surfaces during surgery. The small end is used for carrying bone graft materials, but it can also be used for gingival tunnel preparation for connective tissue augmentation.
M5005
HYGIENE 2
This enlarged periodontal curettes is used for efficient calculus removal and root planning of distal root surfaces during periodontal or combined implant surgeries. Thicker shank and blade provide strength and longevity of the instrument.
MS5010
INTERPROXIMAL SURGICAL SCALER
This instrument is used for efficient fast degranulation of interproximal gingival tissue during periodontal surgeries. The curved ends provide leveling action for minimal stress to dentist's wrist.
M5004
HYGIENE 1
This enlarged periodontal curettes is used for efficient calculus removal and root planning of mesial root surfaces during periodontal or combined implant surgeries. Thicker shank and blade provide strength and longevity of the instrument.

PROBE
This instrument has two ends. The periodontal probe end is mainly used for measuring periodontal pocket depths, but it is also used to detect subgingival calculus, and assessing gingival and underlying bone morphology. The explore end is sharp enough to detect caries and strong enough to clean out debris in tight places such as abutment screw heads.
MS1152
NEEDLE HOLDER
This needle holder is strong enough to tightly grip any suture needles, but flexible enough for most intra-oral delicate surgeries without hurting surgeons fingers in long surgeries. It is also long enough to provide good accessibility in hard to reach places.
MS1173TC
METZENBAUM SCISSORS
This scissors is primarily used for cutting sutures, but it is strong enough to trim tissues and other dental materials. It is also long enough to provide good accessibility in hard to reach places.

MODIFIED TUNELLING
This instrument with long shank and curved tips is used to create subperiosteal tunnel and elevate interproximal papilla areas for connective tissue augmentation during root coverage and papilla reconstruction procedures.
MS1026
MODIFIED BONE CARRIER
The narrower end of the instrument is used to reflect the gingival tissue for protection from burs during partial root preservation procedures. The wider end can be used for flap reflection or carrying graft materials or flat fibrin clots to the surgical sites.
MS1005
ORBAN KNIFE
This instruments with angled blade and contra-angled shank facilitates partial or full thickness tissue tunneling in hard to reach places during gingival augmentation procedures.
MS1280
MICRO BLADE HOLDER
The instrument holds microblades which are used for delicate extensive partial thickness tunneling for gingival augmentation for natural tooth and implant coverage when a full thickness is not warranted. The microblade used with this instrument should be bendable to provide a better angulation to the areas of partial dissection.

Sterilization Instructions
1. Cleaning & Sterilization The used surgical instruments should be store after cleaning and sterilization.
1) Cleaning Clean surgical instruments separately and go through a special cleaning
procedure before sterilization as mentioned below. ❶ Remove all remaining pollutants (tissues, blood, bone residuals, etc.)
on the surface by immersing used surgical instruments in water. Keep surgical instruments in wet environment until the next step indicated below is initiated.
❷-1 Wash surgical instruments manually (conventional method). a. Immerse surgical instruments in the water. b. Scrub the surface of surgical instruments until all visible pollutants
will be removed with a suitable soft bristled brush. c. Rinse the surface of surgical instruments with tap water to remove
all cleaning solution. ❷-2 Automatic washing using ultrasonic cleaner (recommendation method) a. After putting surgical instruments in a washing container (e.g.
plastic basket) inside of an ultrasonic cleaner, fill water completely. b. Clean them at room temperature for 10~20 minutes and drain the water. c. Rinse the surface of the surgical instruments with tap water to
remove all cleaning solution. Repeat step a, b, c until surgical instruments are completely clean and
perform a visual inspection. Drythesurfaceofsurgicalinstrumentsbynaturaldryingoraccordingtoa
drying cycle of cleaner. If needed, manual drying using nonabrasive tower with no lint is possible.
For more information about available enzyme detergents and cleaner, refer to instructions from the manufacturer and have to be followed.
2) Sterilization Recommended Method: Steam Autoclave Surgical Instrumentsshouldbesterilizedat temperatureof132℃to
134℃(269.6℉ to 273.2℉) for 15minutes by high pressure steamsterilizationanddryfor30minutes.
Sterilizedsurgical instrumentsmustbekept inadry,cleananddustfreeenvironmentattemperatureof15℃to30℃(59℉to86℉).
2. Caution1. In case of more than 149℃(300.2℉), a kit box may be deformed so it
should be careful. 2. Make sure the kit will not be placed touching the inside wall of autoclave
during sterilization to avoid deforming of the case.3. Do not use the contaminated product by mistake of surgeon during the
surgery.4. Manufacturer is not responsible for any damages to the product from
sterilization or improper handling other than the high pressure steam sterilization method suggested by.

Implant dentistry is a constantly evolving science. There has never been a more exciting time in the field, with advances in technology and new techniques that are making implant dentistry more successful. While bringing implant capabilities to the forefront of the dental community, these advances can be quite intimidating and difficult to keep up with.
MINEC, MegaGen International Network of Education and Clinical Research, provides a high label of implant education by promoting the international exchange of information through networking of clinicians and scientists. MINEC develops, promotes and publishes research for implant dentistry. By brining together nationally and internationally recognized educators who instruct on a wide array of courses, encompassing didactic, hands-on and live surgery, we are able to provide training for any skill level.
