2020 Summer Certification Program
Mission Statement:
To impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that buildcharacter, instill life-enhancing values, andpromote healthy choices through the gameof golf.
Objectives
• Create a fun and inviting, safe environment where
children can learn life skills, healthy habits, and play the
game of golf.
• Expand young people’s horizons through the
introduction of new physical and mental skills learned
through golf.
• Promote the game of golf as a sport with its values
which positively affect all aspects of a person’s life.
Our Coaches
Our coaches are equipped to create positive relationships that inspire
young people to look to their future, set goals and discover their individual
potential.
Through the First Tee Life Skills Experience, young people build confidence,
develop responsibility and respect, and appreciate the value of giving back
to their community, all while learning the lifelong sport of golf.

One 9-Hole Round-Fast/safe/courteous-Score = 63 and under-Required distance = 1,900 to 2,500 yards
Putting No required score 9-Holes-Maximum of 27 putts
9-Holes-Maximum of 23 putts
Short Game 3-Holes-Maximum of 12 shots
6-Holes-Maximum of 21 shots
Full-swing(greens)
3 out of 6-Required distance = 55 to 75 yards to middle of the green

• I will dress neatly and wear golf or athletic shoes.• I will keep a positive attitude and catch myself doing something right
regardless of the outcome.• I will always try my best when I play or practice.• I will be physically active, eat well, get enough sleep, and be safe so I can
stay healthy.• I will be honest with myself, including when I keep score and if I break a
rule.• I will use proper etiquette and maintain my composure even when others
may not be watching.

Respect for my Surroundings
• I will keep the golf course and practice areas clean and in as good orbetter shape than I found them.
• I will clean and take care of my and others' golf equipment.
• I will be careful not to damage anything that belongs to others.
• The safety of the participants, coaches and volunteersis the number one priority.
• If an unsafe action is witnessed, we will stop the actionand notify the parent. If it continues they will be asked to leave the program.
