INTRODUCING DEVNET

New to Cisco, the DevNet certification programme authenticates software developer, DevOps engineers, automation specialists and other software professional skills. The specialist certification proves your knowledge in the key emerging technical abilities of applications, automation and infrastructure for the network, IoT, DevOps and Cloud. The DevNet certifications test your knowledge of software development and design.

Cisco announced new certification and training tracks, calling it the evolution of networking technology. The driving force behind this change is to unleash the full capabilities of the new network. New skills are required for both network engineers and software developers as networks become more intuitive, automated and intent based.

ENTERPRISE CERTIFICATION TRACK

The new Enterprise certification program prepares you for today’s professional-level job roles in enterprise networking technologies. Enterprise track now includes automation and programmability to help you scale your networking infrastructure.

SECURITY CERTIFICATION TRACK

The new Security certification is more aligned to the job roles of today’s security experts, the flexibility of the new program allows individuals to specialise in the topics that align more closely to their job roles, whether that be, Email and Web Security, Identity and Access Management, VPNs, Next Generation Firewalls and Intrusion Prevention Systems. Automation and Programmability is also an option as our networks continue to change.

SERVICE PROVIDER CERTIFICATION TRACKS

The Service Provider certification is for service provider network engineers, systems engineers and network specialists who are responsible for delivering a scalable carrier-grade infrastructure capable of rapid expansion to support ongoing introduction of new managed services and other customer requirements.

RECERTIFICATION

From 24th February 2020, certified individuals, including CCNA, Cisco Certified Specialist, CCNP and CCIE, will be able to recertify by either taking exams, earning Continuing Education credits or a mix of both. Continuing education activities include things like attending Cisco Live training sessions, authoring content, completing online training courses, completing instructor-led training courses and more.

COLLABORATION CERTIFICATION TRACK

For collaboration and unified communications network engineers who want develop advanced collaboration skills designing, deploying, configuring and troubleshooting Cisco Collaboration and Unified communications applications, devices and networks, the Collaboration certification is a job-role focused training and certification program that will expand your skills and ability to deliver business value.

DATA CENTER CERTIFICATION TRACK

The Data Center certification and training program offers comprehensive certification and skills focused on the data center solutions, technologies and best practices to design, implement and manage a modern data center infrastructure.

CONTINUOUS LEARNING

Continuous learning points are a requirement of the Cisco Channel Partner Program. All specializations have an annual continuous learning requirement that must be met in order to renew a Channel Partner specialization. Continuous Learning points are earned annually from anniversary date to anniversary date and are used for Specialization renewal only. The 12-month period is from anniversary date to anniversary date, not renewal date to the next anniversary date. Thus, if a partner earns points after they submit a renewal, we do not change their anniversary dates based on renewal dates, and those points earned above the requirement will reset on the day after your Specialization anniversary.

CISCO LEARNING LIBRARY

Cisco offer a substantive e-learning portfolio that provides certification, product and technology training. Self-paced hands-on-labs are included in the courses to ensure the experience is as immersive as possible. You can purchase as individual courses, technology libraries or an ALL Access subscription which will provide access to all of the available e-learning available from Cisco. The Cisco e-learning platform allows you to control how and when you learn. Access to individual courses will be for 6 months and 12 months for the technology or all access libraries.
